Quote of the Day:

"If you want to be trusted, be honest."

In my first blog post, I mentioned that I felt like I wasn’t being honest with you about what was happening in my life. So, I thought, why not make this entire post about spilling the beans—my beans, baked beans on toast, pinto beans in a burrito.

I’ve seen comments from people who’ve followed me for a while and still didn’t know I was Australian. That’s kind of wild to me, but I do sing with more of an American accent, so I get it. Let’s clear up all the smoke and mirrors and let you get to know me. Here are 10 facts about me that you may or may not know. You might care, or you might not give a shit.

  1. I was born and grew up an hour and a half north of Sydney, Australia, in a place called the Central Coast. And now I'm currently living in Los Angeles. I spoke poorly about where I grew up, but it always feels safe when I'm back.
  2. I originally dyed my hair blue, but after six months, it started falling out. Shocker with all that bleach. I’ve been wearing wigs ever since. My current hair is brown, a shade or two deeper than my natural color, and although I love the blue, I can't wait to feel comfortable enough to make brown color… MY color.
  3. I spent a couple of years writing K-pop songs, like "Next Level" by aespa. I'm so grateful for them, but I started to fall out of love with the new K-pop sounds. I miss the old tunes.
  4. I write lots of feminist songs and although most men in the comments HATE them, there’s one man who supports it—my boyfriend. Ewww, love.
  5. Sometimes my anxiety keeps me up at night, stressing about my career, my life, and my relationships, to the point where I get little to no sleep.
  6. I was relentlessly bullied during school, mostly by male students about the depth of my voice. Isn’t that a plot twist?
  7. I’ve been on the edge of giving up many times. But I really only ever had one plan, so I just keep doing what I'm doing.
  8. Sometimes I really don’t like the way I look, which has stopped me from wanting to take photos or film, whether it’s me doing it or someone else taking it.
  9. I have never officially been through a dating phase in my life. I was either in a relationship, having fun, or being repulsed by men.
